SAA Screening Tool for Ankylosing Spondylitis

Taking a screening test for Ankylosing Spondylitis ("AS"), is a quick and easy way to determine if symptoms you are having may be AS. Without making any particular guarantee or warranty of the same, this screening test is designed to be anonymous and confidential, though you should be aware that your own web browser software, computer, or network may store or cache files you view or web pages you access. The Spondylitis Association of America ("SAA") may use the results of this screening test for statistical or analytical purposes only. In such a case, the results of the screening test in the aggregate will be made anonymous; there will be no way to connect your particular screening test, its results, and your Internet Protocol ("IP" address). IP addresses are not logged when using this site.

This screening test is not designed to respond to a medical emergency, acute physical pain, or other physical crisis. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911 in most of the United States, your local emergency number, or go immediately to the nearest hospital emergency room for an evaluation.

The Spondylitis Association of America offers additional resources about AS. For a link to that information, please click here.

This screening test is intended solely for the purpose of identifying the symptoms of AS and is not designed to provide a medical diagnosis for AS or for any related disorder. An accurate diagnoses for AS can only be made by a qualified physician after a complete evaluation, including a physical examination within the confines of a bona fide doctor-patient relationship.

This screening test is not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18, or anyone under the age of consent or age or considered a minor in his or her local jurisdiction. Minors or persons under 18 years of age are advised to talk with their parents or guardians about seeing a physician for a complete evaluation. Additional general information about juvenile spondyloarthropathy (JSpA) may be found by clicking here.

A fluent knowledge of the English language is required for the successful completion of this screening test.
